This variety of Russian Hybrid Comfrey (Symphytum x uplandicum) is a variety that can only be propagated by root cuttings and sterile so there is not a need to worry about them spreading where you did not plant them. These come as established 1+ year old potted plants. They make beautiful flowers hummingbirds love and large fuzzy leaves. They grow great in full sun or shade, many soil types, are drought resistant and make great companion plants with many other trees, shrubs and plants in general by bringing up and making available nutrients and minerals deep in the soil. They also act as a great chop and drop mulch plant, are deer proof, hardy to zones 3-9, disease and pest resistant and can act as a great specimen plant as well. The plants are in 5.5″ plastic pots.
